Dramaturgic Chronicles

The DRAMATURGIC CHRONICLES is a series of practical sessions based each one on a text that is NOT specifically dramatic, more or less narrative or abstract, in which we propose an approach to what could be a staging for a piece of physical theater, contemporary dance, circus or performance inspired or based on these texts.

We will make a 20-minute presentation of our proposal and afterwards, we will discuss it with the participants, who will also be able to share their ideas and ways of seeing the text and its staging possibilities. All those who attend will be sent a pdf file in English and Spanish of the text, and a scenic script of our proposal.

We will also be able to see different ways of expressing physical or movement ideas, annotations and instructions of different types in the script or starting point for the rehearsals and work with the team.

We will also deal with writing, related to objects, scenic elements, costumes, sound space and the use of different technologies.

The sessions will be run online, on the ZOOM platform, every Saturday at 15.30 Lisbon time (Portugal). In each 90-minute session, we will work from a specific text.

The common language of the sessions will be ENGLISH.
